Monday Madness
How was your Monday loves?
I had one horrendous Monday here again, as I had to go see my dentist and well those visits are never fun. But we were finally able to finish my project with my tooth, and that if something feels amazing. Physically not so amazing yet, but little rest and time will make miracles. I'm also super happy, my To-Do list is shrinking finally. I am that kinda person who really needs plans and schedules to function, and well without those it can get pretty problematic for me to finish my tasks. I dunno, maybe my inner clock is still in some sorta Finnish rhythm and lifestyle, as I seem to find more energy during the spring time. In Finland it made some sense at least as days got longer and warmer, but here I just don't have any logical explanation for this yet. I'm not complaining though, this new energy has already been very useful. Yesterday, finally after months of planning, we decided to clean the closet with hubby. This was something I had been thinking ages -- secretly I knew how much nonsense we had there, so it felt amazing to just get rid off everything and get some needed closet space. As a great bonus, I found some pieces from hubby's side to work with.
I decided that we definately need to continue this spring clean-up, we still have loads of shelves and boxes left to clean and organize. Also we have been planning, that slowly we change our whole apartment piece by piece into something more modern and more suitable for our apartement. Same time we have an opportunity to create some extra space, as we do not have too much space in our apartment at the moment. In my dreams we could have own room for the furry babies, but I don't see us moving away yet, we have sucha great location now. Honestly moving is sucha chaotic experience as well, so definately wouldn't mind staying put for awhile. Now when I count qickly, during last five years I have moved between 10 times. Yes you read right-- I have actually moved 10 times back and forth from Finland to England, changed houses three times in UK, moved to Mexico and back and finally moved here to stay. That has been pretty damn hard, suitcase life is never easy, but especially not easy for a person who needs her belongings close to her all the time to feel cosy. Definately it has taught me valuable lesson too, and I can proudly say I'm not as materialistic person anymore. Also to get functional closet, you don't need that much of clothes, only certain classic pieces and some seasonal pieces to spice up the looks.
This outfit is from last weekend and works perfectly as an example of mixing simple pieces. It's always good to have at least a pair of high-waisted jeans in the closet. Mine are in blue wash and technically works with everything. Basic nude heels are great option to have as well, these ones are not maybe the most fashionable option with platform, but they are simple and work perfectly with jeans, the laces give nice little detail without cutting the line on ankles. I added this blue scarf to give little extra something and seems like it is going to be one of the summer trends.
What do you think, any summer trends you really love?
xx Ada
